About Me

Your Coach

I have always been an avid outdoors person and feel the most at peace and centered when I am immersed in nature.  I love to mountain and road bike, run, hike, rock climb, hunt, fish and horseback ride.  I have been an athlete since for as long as I can remember…Being active and competitive as varying levels defines me and my lifestyle.  I set goals and work hard to achieve them no matter the amount of training, preparation or work that might be involved. I have pushed to the point of injury and complete fatigue only to have to take 10 steps back and start over again. I’ve struggled with body image, mental and psychological fatigue, judgement of myself and judgement from others. Throughout my journey, I have continued to grow and persevere, and find new and different ways to stay active, and accept and love the body I was blessed with and the person that I am.

Along the way I have continued to learn new skills and modalities to help others along their journeys. I have learned and built a Fascial stretch therapy business, learned many forms of energy work to incorporate into that specialty, and currently found equine gestalt coaching to round off what I consider a very hands on, loving, safe, and effective way to assist others in reaching their physical, mental and emotional goals.

My Story

How I Got Started

As I mentioned above, I live on a beautiful ranch with an abundance of nature all around me. We have over 10 miles of trails for biking, hiking, running and horse back riding. The property consists of regal old ponderosa pines, oak, juniper and cedar trees. There is a nice mix of open space intermingled and has over 400’ of elevation changes.  The views are breathtaking and there are plenty of rocky outcroppings to face the eastern sky and connect with God and spirit for morning sunrise meditations. The horses love the pines for the shade and the open meadows for grazing. They truly are my business partners and love to work with people that are wanting to clear old traumas, reach new goals, and find inner peace where there was once turmoil and pain.  BB is a wisdom horse and no nonsense healer. She came to me from Arizona as a very accomplished dressage horse and now enjoys a slower paced existence of trail rides, coaching partner, and queen of the ranch. Benson is a quarter horse/haflinger mix and loves people. If there is an opportunity to partner with a client to help them through a coaching session, he is the first to raise his hoof and be present for that moment.  They are both loves and have my entire heart.

Between every two pines, there is a doorway to a new world.

About the EGCMethod®

So, gestalt…what in the world is that?  Yup, that’s what I wanted to know too, so I joined an equine gestalt training program to immerse myself and find out more.  I can’t say that I wasn’t skeptical at first.  How is a 1200 lb horse supposed to help me clear past trauma and start achieving my goals and blast through road blocks that are holding me back?  Gestalt uses an experiential method that is co facilitated by the coach and the client to get to the root of the trauma or roadblock and bring it to the surface. By doing so, the issue can be dealt with and cleared in a way that keeps it from resurfacing in all of the old triggers and habits.  The majority of the time clients experience and uncover past hurt and unrest that they didn’t know were driving their fear, decision making processes, triggers or struggles with everyday life and situations.  Gestalt changes lives drastically and quickly.  If there was ever a miracle pill or quick fix to cure what ales you, gestalt therapy would be it. The horses hold space and provide incredible healing energy to support the client while they work through the pain associated with their trauma and also help to clear the negative energy. Horse don’t understand emotional pain and want us to be happy. They live in the moment and are great teachers of that. They use their innate ability to take on and transfer energy to help us clear it once and for all. I can tell you from experience doing my own work, that there is nothing like a 1200 lb animal walking up to you in the round pen with their big gentle eyes, and knowing and feeling their intent to help us heal.
